The market competition risk in the binder industry for light burned magnesium powder can be divided into market, price risk, and operational risk. Demand risk, demand is a key factor affecting the sales of binders for refractory materials. For light burned powder, the size of demand corresponds to the supply quantity. If supply increases and demand decreases, sales will encounter difficulties; The second is price risk. If the price of refractory binder products is high, the yield per unit area will be high. However, if the price is too high, it will seriously affect sales; The third is operational risk, which refers to the possibility that the expected profits cannot be realized or insufficient to compensate for operating expenses due to poor management of the developer's development of refractory material binder projects. This type of risk is mainly attributed to developers' subjective prediction and decision-making errors in development costs, rental prices, development cycles, and funding.

The lightly burned magnesium powder itself does not burn at all, and can operate continuously for a long time at 250 ℃. It can also maintain normal operation for 30 minutes at the limit state of 1000 ℃ without causing a fire source. Even in the case of flame barbecue, manufacturers of light burned magnesium powder can continue to use the cable without replacing it after the flame is eliminated as long as the flame temperature is lower than the melting point temperature of copper. No toxic smoke or gas will be generated when grilled by flames.

Mainly used as a slag composition regulator for splashing slag protection of converters. Light burned magnesium balls require appropriate viscosity and fire resistance of the slag for slag splashing protection, and a reasonable slag composition is the key to implementing slag splashing protection. General slag cannot be directly splashed to protect the furnace, and a certain amount needs to be added for adjustment. At the same time, it can replace the use of dolomite to reduce the slag amount and increase the MgO content in the slag. Due to MgO being a high melting point mineral with a melting point of 2800, the increase in MgO content in the slag increases the viscosity of the slag, enhances its refractory properties, and makes it easier for the slag to combine with the lining, forming an effective slag protection layer on the lining, thereby improving the lining life and reducing consumption.

After adopting this technology, a steel company in the United States has reached a furnace life of nearly 20000 heats and a converter operating rate of 97%. West Germany, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and others are all promoting this process. Many steel companies are also actively developing their own slag splashing furnace protection processes, including Taiyuan Iron and Steel, Chenggang, Chongqing Iron and Steel, Ma Steel, etc. Since adopting the slag splashing furnace protection process, the high furnace life has been increased from 1500 furnaces, 500 furnaces, 700 furnaces, and 1100 furnaces to 12000 furnaces, 1500 furnaces, 8500 furnaces, and 10200 furnaces, all of which have achieved huge economic benefits.
